Welcome to my first review!
My amazing friend, Erin, came through Atlanta and brought me 3 varieties of Golden State Cider from San Francisco. Thank goodness for Snapchat and me messaging back “OMG MAIL ME SOME!” She one-up’d and brought me three 4-packs!
Bare with me, as this is the first post. Let me whip out my 33Books Co. “33 Mugs of Cider”
Cider: Mighty Dry
Maker: Golden State Cider
Location: San Francisco, California, USA
Container: Can (poured into glass)
Tasted: at Home
Availability: CA, OR, WA
The cider is described as “a champagne-like cider that pairs perfectly with any moment of the day. It’s just dry enough. It’s perfectly balanced, and crispy (if not crispier) as biting into a freshly picked apple.” (From drinkgoldenstate.com/cider)
The first thing you notice about the cans is how simple and bold they are. The way the blue complements the orange kind of gives you the vibe you’re about to enjoy.
It pours carbonated and has a lovely hay-yellow hue. After the bubbles settle down, it stays quite still. The smell was lovely! It opened as soon as it hit the glass with an herbal and pineapple aroma. Pretty tart, but super balanced. Easy to drink and perfect for this hot, Georgia heat. I’m very happy to have 3 more to make it through summer PLUS their Mighty Hops and Gingergrass.
Rating: 4.5/5 stars.
